- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪First of all, be prepared to wait. I've waited 30-45 minutes for most of my appointments, but that can be typical with doctors. They do take my health insurance, BCBS, with only a $35 copay every time I go. Dr. Smith is friendly, but she does not explain much unless you ask! So I would suggest going in there with a list of questions - get specific! But all of that is immaterial to the fact that, when she suddenly had to leave the office on an emergency call (a patient went into labor and she was needed), the office does not notify you! They do not call you. So right before you leave for your appointment, I would suggest calling to double-check that Dr. Smith is in the office. I have an hour commute to my appointments with her, so imagine my irritation when I discovered that, with all the ladies who organize files and appointments in that office, not one of them picks up the phone to let you know that your apointment has effectively been cancelled.May 12, 2017by Hope Dubna
